In an operation conducted in coordination between the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Istanbul Police Department, a key figure in FETO's Naval Forces structure was captured. Bedrettin Günebakmaz, the organization's so-called "director" of the Naval Forces, who was wanted for "membership in an armed terrorist organization" and was on the Terrorist Wanted List, has been taken into custody.
Under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a comprehensive operation was carried out targeting the secret structure of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO) within the Naval Forces Command. The effort focused on capturing organization members who had been wanted for a long time.
MIT AND POLICE FORCES ACTED IN COORDINATION
Teams from the Counter-Terrorism Branch conducted field work in coordination with MIT and Police Intelligence units. As a result of technical and physical surveillance, it was determined that one of the organization's critical figures was hiding in Istanbul.

FIGURE WANTED IN THE YELLOW CATEGORY CAPTURED
Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that Bedrettin Günebakmaz, who was identified as operating on behalf of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO/PDY) and was on the Yellow Category of the Terrorist Wanted List, was hiding in Üsküdar. The suspect, who is stated to have held the position of so-called "director" in the Naval Forces Command's secret structure, was taken into custody in the operation.
BYLOCK, BANK ASYA, AND FOREIGN CONNECTIONS
Examinations regarding Günebakmaz revealed that he used ByLock, the encrypted communication program used by organization members, had increased account activity at Bank Asya, and had records within the organization's foreign structure. Additionally, statements were obtained indicating that he operated as a chemistry teacher who dealt with soldiers in Gölcük.
FAKE SETUP TO CONCEAL IDENTITY
Searches conducted at the address where the suspect was staying revealed that he rented the house by presenting himself with a different identity and had electricity, water, and natural gas subscriptions opened in the names of others. It was also determined that he kept numerous hats, beanies, and glasses to avoid being caught on cameras when going outside.
