Message from MIT Chief Kalın on the 100th anniversary of the Republic: 'We are determined to keep the spirit of the Kuva-yi Milliye alive'
In his message marking the 100th anniversary of the Republic, National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın stated, "As the National Intelligence Organization, we are determined to keep the spirit of the Kuva-yi Milliye alive on the 100th anniversary of our Republic by developing our domestic and national capabilities, based on the principle of self-sufficiency, and with the awareness that we have something to say to the world."
National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Chief İbrahim Kalın stated in his message marking the 100th anniversary of the Republic that they are celebrating this day with great honor, pride, and excitement.
Expressing that the nation, which directs the course of history, has continued its glorious march by rising again every time without tiring or collapsing in the face of difficulties, and that the young Republic of Turkey was founded on this foundation of determination and faith, Kalın commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms who kept this spirit alive.
Pointing out that the security, freedom, and prosperity of every member of the nation are only possible with a robust structure, a strong spirit of unity and solidarity, a deep sense of belonging, and a well-functioning state order, Kalın assessed, "The Turkish nation is a nation that donned the spirit of the Kuvayımilliye against the insolent and relentless attacks of 19th-century imperialism and demonstrated the determination to continue its path by creating existence from nothing and victory from defeat."
EMPHASIS ON THE KUVAY-I MİLLİYE
Reminding that the Turkish nation waged a struggle for homeland, honor, and freedom against global colonial powers during the War of Independence, Kalın emphasized that this struggle served as a source of inspiration for anti-imperialist freedom movements all over the world, from Africa to the Indian subcontinent, and from the Balkans to Latin America.
Stating that the spirit of this nation should be sought in the nobility, majesty, and purity of the photograph titled "This is how we won the Republic," Kalın noted the following:
"Our nation stands at the forefront of the struggle against global injustice and unfairness today. It continues to be a source of inspiration for victimized and oppressed nations. Regardless of religion, language, color, or nationality, it never hesitates to stand by the oppressed and the victimized, and against tyranny and the tyrant. As the National Intelligence Organization, we are determined to keep the spirit of the Kuvayımilliye alive on the 100th anniversary of our Republic by developing our domestic and national capabilities, based on the principle of self-sufficiency, and with the awareness that we have something to say to the world."
"WE WILL ENRICH IT WITH NEW INITIATIVES"
Stating that the Century of Turkey will be a century in which rights, law, justice, prosperity, and democracy are crowned, Kalın emphasized that they will embrace a future where coups and periods of tutelage are left behind together.
MIT Chief Kalın included the following statements in his message:
"We will enrich the democratic, legal, and cultural achievements of our Republic with new initiatives. We will work tirelessly and without rest to guarantee the security and freedom of every one of our citizens.
As the National Intelligence Organization, we will continue to work tirelessly all over the world for the rights and interests of our country and our nation. As an institution that gives confidence to friends and strikes fear into enemies, we will always stand by the good and the right. We will continue to develop our capabilities and resources incessantly to keep our Republic alive. We will run with passion and will not tire. We will walk with determination and will not falter. We will act with reason, virtue, and wisdom, and we will not deviate from the good, the right, and the beautiful. We will be trustworthy people and we will protect the trust placed in us."
"IT WILL REMAIN FOREVER"
Commemorating Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who left the Republic as a legacy after a glorious struggle for independence, with gratitude, Kalın continued:
"I wish eternal mercy upon all our martyrs who marched to martyrdom for our independence and future, and upon the martyrs who were the secret heroes of our organization. I bow with respect before our veterans. I respectfully commemorate everyone who has contributed to the mortar of the Republic from its foundation to the present day. I express my gratitude to our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who struggles day and night for a strong, independent, and prosperous Republic of Turkey. The strong and independent Republic of Turkey will remain forever. Happy Republic Day. Here is to many more years with honor, pride, and enthusiasm."
