MIT Director İbrahim Kalın: 'A strong Turkey is indispensable for global peace'

MIT Director İbrahim Kalın made important statements on the 97th anniversary of the National Intelligence Organization.

"The silence regarding Israel's attacks on Gaza is an example of the dire situation the international community finds itself in.

Every power, actor, and policy that oversteps its boundaries and violates the rights of others is preparing its own end.

"WE ARE CONTINUOUSLY DEVELOPING OURSELVES"

We are quite far from a global balance of power. As the National Intelligence Organization, we are constantly developing ourselves against this era full of uncertainty and hybrid threats. The crises experienced in the last four years show that global fractures have become deeper and more destructive.

Justice means everyone receiving their due. We believe that the only option for lasting security and stability for Israel is a two-state solution.

We are working day and night for the cessation of attacks, the establishment of a permanent ceasefire, the delivery of humanitarian aid, prisoner exchanges, a two-state solution, and Palestinian national reconciliation.

Deterrence is the ability to prevent a threat before it emerges. Unjust actions will not be left unanswered. Turkey has become a significant deterrent power in the defense industry, UCAVs, and critical infrastructure technologies.

A strong and resilient Turkey is indispensable for regional and global peace.

Strategic security is based on an approach that considers not only our own security but also the security of other countries. The fundamental principle is to win hearts and minds, in addition to winning on the field and at the table.

MIT ACADEMY ESTABLISHED

We have established the National Intelligence Academy, and we aim for Turkey to become a country with a say in intelligence theory and methodology.

The targeting of our citizens living abroad by far-right movements shows that the rising far-right and anti-Islamic movements in Europe pose a significant threat. In this context, the work of the National Intelligence Organization is of great importance.
