The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has neutralized Fatma Sakana, codenamed "Sorhin Rojhilat", one of the so-called leaders of the terrorist organization PKK/PAJK, in a pinpoint operation conducted in the city of Qamishli, Syria.

According to information obtained from security sources, Sakana, who joined the terrorist organization PKK in Iran in 2006, operated in the rural areas of Şırnak between 2010 and 2012.

Sakana, who was among the perpetrators of the attack on September 2, 2012, in the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak, where 10 soldiers were martyred, later served among the organization's so-called leaders in Syria and Iraq.

It was determined that during her time in Iraq, Sakana operated alongside Duran Kalkan, one of the ringleaders of the terrorist organization PKK.
