Mobilization in Ankara ahead of NATO Summit: Everyone will wear the same uniform

The capital city of Ankara has entered an intensive preparation process ahead of the NATO Summit to be held on July 7-8. While security measures have been increased across the city, inspections have also been tightened. Various practices will also be implemented for the taxi drivers who will be on duty during the summit.

TAXI DRIVERS WILL SERVE IN SPECIAL UNIFORMS

Mehmet Yiğiner, President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen (TŞOF), made statements regarding the preparations being carried out within the scope of the NATO Summit.

Pointing out that taxi drivers are the first people guests from abroad encounter after leaving the airport, Yiğiner stated that the drivers aim to represent Turkey and Ankara in the best possible way.

Stating that the taxi drivers who will serve in this context will wear gray trousers and white shirts, Yiğiner said that the vehicles will also be prepared in terms of physical cleanliness.

TURKISH DELIGHT, COLOGNE, AND COLD WATER WILL BE OFFERED

Mehmet Yiğiner announced that there will be various refreshments in the taxis to reflect Turkish hospitality to foreign guests.

Accordingly, Turkish delight, cologne, and cold water will be offered in the vehicles due to the hot weather conditions.

Yiğiner said, "It is an important meeting for our country. The fact that the NATO Summit is being held in our country, and especially in Ankara, has also excited us. It is a very important meeting, and we are aware of this. We are continuing our preparations to serve our guests from abroad in the best way possible. Our vehicles will be clean, especially in terms of their physical condition. Our drivers will wear gray trousers and white shirts. To promote Turkish culture, we will offer Turkish delight, cologne, and, due to the hot weather, cold water in our vehicles. We are increasing our service quality every day."

RED ZONE PRACTICE WILL BE IMPLEMENTED

Yiğiner also reminded that a "red zone" practice will be implemented at airports, in the area where the meeting will be held, on protocol routes, and at points where delegations will stay within the scope of the summit.
