A 7-story building collapsed this morning on Issıkgöl Street in the Mevlana neighborhood of Kocaeli's Gebze district. A family of five trapped under the building suffered a major tragedy.

It was learned that those trapped in the rubble of the collapsed building were father Levent Bilir (44), mother Emine Bilir (37), and their children Emir Bilir (11), Nisa Bilir (14), and Dilara Bilir (18).

TWO CHILDREN LOST THEIR LIVES

As a result of the efforts, 18-year-old Dilara Bilir was pulled from the rubble alive. The lifeless bodies of the other children, Emir Bilir and Nisa Bilir, were recovered. Teams are continuing to work intensively to rescue the mother and father.
