According to the information received, Fuat Sağut (45), who worked as a cook at a restaurant in Bayburt, strangled Filiz Çankıroğlu, a mother of six who had previously worked as a dishwasher at the same restaurant, to death.

The suspect later called the police to report that he had committed the murder and turned himself in.

Following the crime scene investigation conducted at the house, the woman's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
