Motorcycle police perform demonstration in Edirne
In Edirne, motorcycle police officers completed a safe driving course and held a demonstration. The 21 'Yunus' police officers impressed the audience with acrobatic maneuvers.
Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Department of Public Order, 21 police officers received training in the "Motorcycle Police Teams Safe Driving and Development Course" provided by the Edirne Police Department.
The 21 'Yunus' police officers, who successfully completed the 5-day course at the training field in Sarayiçi, performed acrobatic maneuvers with their motorcycles during a program attended by Provincial Police Chief Onur Karaburun.
In his statement to reporters, Karaburun said they were proud of the officers' work.
Stating that the Yunus police officers reach incidents quickly, Karaburun noted the following:
"As the Turkish police, we use the technical devices, equipment, and systems used by police forces around the world here in Turkey and in our Edirne. You are using these with skills and capabilities even superior to those of world police forces. Our success is based on both the resources provided to us by our strong state and your successful use of these resources. The people of Edirne will be even more proud of the Yunus teams from now on. You enable us to act quickly."
