Motorcycle-riding attacker caught while trying to flee abroad
In Gaziosmanpaşa, while Ahmet Yılmaz, Mehmet E.B, and Mehmet K. were waiting on the street, two people on a motorcycle opened fire on the three individuals. Ahmet Yılmaz, who was seriously injured, lost his life at the hospital where he was taken, while Mehmet K. and Mehmet E.B were slightly injured. The police, who launched an investigation after the incident, took the suspect Hamza K. into custody.

In an incident that occurred in Gaziosmanpaşa last Saturday around 15:30, 34-year-old Ahmet Yılmaz, his 26-year-old friend Mehmet K., and 15-year-old Mehmet E.B were chatting on the street in front of their homes when two people on a motorcycle with an unidentified license plate—one wearing a helmet and the other with their face covered by a hood—opened fire on the three individuals.

Ahmet Yılmaz, one of the injured who was taken to the hospital, lost his life, while the other two individuals were slightly injured.

Following the incident, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau launched an investigation and identified the suspect who opened fire, Hamza K., by examining dozens of cameras along the motorcycle's route.

Hamza K., who was trying to flee abroad, was taken into custody. It was learned that Hamza K., who was taken to the Public Security Branch Office's Murder Bureau, said, "There was a debt issue between us. I asked for it, he didn't give it. That's why I shot him." The suspect was referred to the courthouse following his interrogation.
