Much-discussed Mansur Yavaş assessment from Şamil Tayyar: 'He won the election with tea and soup'

Evaluating the local elections that resulted in a CHP victory during a television program he attended, former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar attributed the victory in Ankara to Mansur Yavaş distributing tea and soup to voters.

Former AKP Gaziantep deputy Şamil Tayyar made interesting observations on the Medya Kritik program on TGRT Haber.

Tayyar attributed the AKP's election defeat in Ankara to Mansur Yavaş's distribution of tea and soup.

"Magnificent city hospitals were built for millions of liras, but they sold tea for 50 liras and soup for 300 liras in these hospitals. Mansur Yavaş, on the other hand, distributed tea and soup at the stands he opened. By doing this, Yavaş gained more political reputation for his party," he said.

AKP'S ISTANBUL CANDIDATE KURUM HAD ALSO PROMISED SOUP

Visiting Üsküdar as part of his election campaign, Kurum had distributed soup in a library where students and young people preparing for exams to enter state institutions were studying.

While the young people were receiving their soup, Kurum announced his new promise, saying, "There will be a 'Nevmekan' in our 39 districts. In such a peaceful environment in these Nevmekans... Do you like it?"

Addressing the young people afterwards, Kurum said, "Enjoy your meal. We wish you good studies. We are setting out to increase the number of these places together with our youth. We will build these and similar places, our Nevmekans, in our 39 districts. We will provide you with the opportunity to work in the offices we will establish. Also, our friend said, 'It's always lentil soup.' We are changing the lentil soup. From time to time, our mayor will provide tomato soup, yayla soup, and chicken broth. Every Friday at 6 o'clock, we will also provide meat and rice in addition to the soup."
