Muharrem İnce speaks from Saraçhane: 'Everyone is 10 percent poorer for the sake of political goals!'

Memleket Party Chairman Muharrem İnce visited Saraçhane following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and his colleagues. Making a statement to the press, İnce said, "What happened to us? We became 10 percent poorer in one day. Today, everyone living in this country has lost 10 percent of their assets and property as a result of the judiciary's wrong decisions and the pressure on university administration."

"You know, the late Demirel did not call Ecevit 'Mr. Prime Minister.' From now on, I will not call the President 'Mr. President.' He is now the head of the executive branch," said İnce, adding the following:

"The name of this period that Turkey has reached is the 'period of collapse.' Secondly, Turkey has two major problems. The first is the citizen's bread, and the other is the head of the executive branch. That is, first of all, the citizen cannot find bread in the country. The other, you can take it in any sense, is the head of the executive branch. You know, the late Demirel did not call Ecevit 'Mr. Prime Minister.' From now on, I will not call the President 'Mr. President.' He is now the head of the executive branch. Look at what happened to us in one day. Because Mr. İmamoğlu might be a rival to Erdoğan, he had his diploma invalidated. What was invalidated there was not the diploma, but the rule of law itself. What happened to us? We became 10 percent poorer in one day. Today, everyone living in this country has lost 10 percent of their assets and property as a result of the judiciary's wrong decisions and the pressure on university administration. Our economy has reached this state for the sake of one person's political goals. We look at the accusations; 'He hired PKK members.' Don't you see those who call the founder of the PKK 'leader'? And then you accuse our friends of collaborating with the PKK. For the first time in 1500-2000 years of Turkish history, there is a one-man rule. Turkey is being dragged into darkness."
