Municipal police officer at Bakırköy Municipality detained over 'bribery' allegations
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into allegations that a municipal police officer working at Bakırköy Municipality accepted a bribe from a hotel owner in exchange for licensing procedures. The suspect has been taken into custody as part of the investigation.
It is alleged that B.Y., who works as a municipal police officer at Bakırköy Municipality, accepted a bribe from A.İ., the owner of a hotel in Bakırköy, for licensing procedures. Following the findings, an investigation was launched by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
Within the scope of the investigation, efforts to apprehend the individual were initiated in accordance with the instructions given to the Bakırköy District Police Department. Police teams took the municipal police officer B.Y. into custody at his residence.
While search operations were also conducted at the individual's address, the investigation into the matter continues.
