Murat Emir makes statement regarding the establishment date of the 'New Party'

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir made evaluations regarding the agenda during a press conference held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

Emir criticized the Court of Cassation for not addressing the CHP's "absolute nullity" file before the judicial recess, and also made statements regarding the rumors of a new party being discussed in the public eye.

REACTION TO THE COURT OF CASSATION'S CALENDAR

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir criticized the Court of Cassation for not putting the "absolute nullity" file concerning the CHP on its agenda before the judicial recess.

Arguing that the file was intentionally delayed, Emir said, "They waited, and the file was sent to the Court of Cassation one day before the judicial recess. If the Court of Cassation had wanted to, it could have reviewed it. The 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation could have easily reviewed this file if it had wanted to."

"THERE IS NOT EVEN A SHRED OF LAW IN THIS PROCESS"

Continuing his assessments regarding the lawsuit process, Emir stated that they do not have confidence in the process from a legal standpoint.

Stating, "There is not even a shred of law in any stage of this lawsuit process," Emir added, "We will follow these processes to the end, and we will do what is required of us to the end. But we can foresee that justice will not come out of there. That decision will come one day, but justice that comes late will not be justice."

RESPONSE TO NEW PARTY RUMORS

During the press conference, Emir was also asked about the allegations that a new party would be established within the CHP.

Upon being reminded of the claims that Özgür Özel would hold his final group meeting tomorrow and that the establishment date of the new party had been finalized, Emir said, "Regarding the new party process, everyone, especially the pro-government media, is knowingly and willingly producing lies. And they make those lies a topic of discussion for a day; it is understood to be a lie, but it has been discussed that day. Nothing you have not heard from us is true. Those authorized to speak are clear."

POINTED TO ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S SPEECH

Stating that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will make evaluations at the group meeting to be held tomorrow, Emir said, "Our esteemed Chairman will hold the regular group meeting tomorrow and will make his own evaluations regarding the process at the regular group meeting. But there is no date that we will share with you, at least not for today."

To the question of whether there is any new development regarding the new party, Emir replied, "If the details that can be shared truly reach certainty, which I hope will happen in a short time, our esteemed Chairman will share them with everyone."
