Muş Governor's Office announces: Banned for 3 days

The statement from the Governor's Office noted that security forces are continuing successful operations against terrorist organizations both nationwide and abroad.

The statement reported that it is assessed that groups affiliated with terrorist organizations might use these operations as a pretext to hold meetings and demonstration marches, that these events could be provoked and turn into acts of violence, and that sensational actions targeting densely populated areas could endanger public order as well as the life and property safety of citizens.

The statement, which mentioned that calls for nationwide actions are being made on social media platforms by illegal organizations and their extensions, included the following:

"The aim is to prevent the aforementioned events from occurring in our province in a way that would affect public order, to prevent potential incidents, to ensure the established environment of peace and security, national security and public order, to prevent the commission of crimes, to protect fundamental rights and freedoms and general public safety, and to thwart the plans of terrorist organizations.

In this context, with the exception of events deemed appropriate by the Governor's Office, as well as official holidays, official commemoration days, official ceremonies and celebrations, sports activities, and events and meetings held for scientific, commercial, and economic purposes organized by public institutions and organizations, all meetings, demonstration marches, press statements, open or closed-air meetings, protests, rallies, tent pitching, sit-ins, stand setups, hunger strikes, commemoration ceremonies, hanging of posters, banners, and placards, distribution of flyers and leaflets, opening of signature tables, lighting of torches, conferences, and all similar activities within the borders of our province have been banned for 3 days from 00:01 on April 4 to 23:59 on April 6."
