Müsavat Dervişoğlu calls on those who resigned: Declares a mobilization

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu said, "I am calling out with a sincere heart to our friends who have left, who are offended, who have resigned, and whose hearts have been broken: To whoever has left, not only are the doors of this party wide open, but my heart and soul are as well. With God's permission, I invite them all back to our party. I want strength to be born from this unity."

Dervişoğlu visited Tekstilkent in Esenler, where he met with Tekstilkent Board Chairman Faik Çetin Arı, Giyimkent Board Chairman Muzaffer Cevizli, and other members, before heading to his party's Istanbul Provincial Headquarters.

Addressing party members in front of the building, Dervişoğlu stated that Istanbul, the stronghold of the İYİ Party movement, is not only the heart for them but also the true heart of the movement of the good and the brave that they initiated in Turkey.

Dervişoğlu noted that his mind went back to the days when the İYİ Party was founded and he thought about what Turkey's troubles were at that time, stating, "Nothing has changed from 7 years ago to today. The problems of that day have multiplied and become massive today, standing before us to be solved. The need for the İYİ Party, for İYİ Party members, and for the movement of the good and the brave makes itself felt more every day. That is why our responsibility and the burden we will shoulder are great. May God give strength to our shoulders."

Pointing out that they have gone through difficult days since the party's foundation and that they were also affected by the negative developments while some things were changing in Turkey, Dervişoğlu said, "From time to time we were saddened, there were moments when we fell into despair. We felt compelled to question ourselves, asking 'Where are we going?', but we saw that the nation needs us. Since the nation wants us and calls for us, it is impossible for us to escape the responsibility the nation has placed upon us. If there is a responsibility that must be undertaken at a critical historical threshold, that duty belongs to the good, the brave, and the İYİ Party members."

"WE WILL DECLARE A NEW MOBILIZATION OF HEARTS"

Dervişoğlu expressed that they have had losses due to the negative developments experienced during this process and that fellow party members have had resentments toward one another, continuing as follows:

"The absence of one person is very important to us. If we are one short, it means none of us are here. You will reach out to broken hearts, you will eliminate resentments and grievances, and you will shout to everyone that strength is born from unity and that this strength is necessary for the great Turkish nation, which is greater than us. I am calling out with a sincere heart to our friends who have left, who are offended, who have resigned, and whose hearts have been broken: To whoever has left, not only are the doors of this party wide open, but my heart and soul are as well. With God's permission, I invite them all back to our party. I want strength to be born from this unity."

Emphasizing that their party is entering its 8th year and that the period ahead is a milestone for them, Dervişoğlu stated, "On the weekend corresponding to October 25, 2017, we will both commemorate our founding day in Ankara and declare a new mobilization of hearts to serve as a means for our renewed unity and solidarity. Everyone is invited. Regardless of their political background, every one of our people who has contributed to the establishment of the İYİ Party by uniting their heart and who demonstrates the will to contribute to its future journey is our fellow traveler."

During his visits, Dervişoğlu was accompanied by deputy chairmen, İYİ Party Group Deputy Chairman Buğra Kavuncu, members of parliament, and Istanbul Provincial Chairman Yücel Coşkun.
