Mustafa Destici's statement on local elections and the alliance! Will the BBP run with its own candidates?

Great Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici visited his party's Çankırı Provincial Headquarters.

Making statements regarding the agenda there, Destici reacted to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's visit to the Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM).

TARGETED ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

Destici stated, "Cooperating with the PKK's so-called political party just for the sake of votes, just for the sake of winning certain municipalities, especially Istanbul, is a betrayal of the homeland, the nation, the state, our martyrs, and their families."

In his speech, Destici said that Israel continues to hurt, kill innocent children, women, civilians, and the elderly in Palestine and Gaza, and that it receives the greatest support and power from the United States while committing this genocide.

Claiming that a group led by the CHP is cooperating with the political extension of the PKK, Destici continued as follows:

"First it was HDP, then it became HEP, then it was Green Left, now I don't know if it's DEM or a teapot, it changed its name. Now they are cooperating with them. They are conducting the meetings they previously held in secret in an open manner. They go to those meetings after leaving a martyr's funeral. This is not something that can be accepted. I believe that our nation will make the CHP, its new Chairman, its mayoral candidates, and its metropolitan mayoral candidates pay the price for this at the ballot box. The cooperation with the PKK's political party that continued during the era of former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu is continuing today in the era of Özgür Özel, accelerating and in an open manner. As long as they do this, unfortunately, Turkey's fight against terrorism will remain incomplete. Our call to them is that they must stand against terrorism, no matter who it comes from. Cooperating with the PKK's so-called political party just for the sake of votes, just for the sake of winning certain municipalities, especially Istanbul, is a betrayal of the homeland, the nation, the state, our martyrs, and their families. Therefore, we advise everyone to stay within the bounds of democracy and stay away from this."

Explaining that he has some observations regarding the Constitutional Court, Destici said, "The political party of terrorism is being protected and watched over. Decisions regarding it are either postponed or always come out in its favor, especially regarding its closure and treasury aid. We are having difficulty understanding and explaining this. The President of the Constitutional Court, or any member or spokesperson, needs to come out and inform our nation about these issues. The decisions they make behind closed doors have reached a point where they not only fail to satisfy us but also disturb us."

Also reacting to CHP Ordu Deputy Mustafa Adıgüzel, Destici stated, "A CHP deputy shows the insolence to call the terrorist leader 'sir'. We leave all of this to the conscience of our nation. What do the political extensions of the PKK, emboldened by this, do when they get into Parliament? They say they will speak Kurdish where they should speak Turkish. You can speak Kurdish everywhere, it's not banned anyway. The issue is not Kurdish, Turkish, Arabic, or English. In the parliament of every state, the official language of that state is spoken."

Stating that they will hold a general consultation meeting in Ankara tomorrow regarding the local elections, Destici said, "The Great Unity Party has the power, the strength, the number of members, and the number of organizations to participate in the elections in all 81 of our provinces, 922 districts, and 390 towns with its own name, its own emblem, its own candidates, in council memberships, and in provincial general assembly memberships. However, we are also part of an alliance. We are part of the People's Alliance. Our delegations, especially with the AK Party, are continuing their discussions on this matter. I hope that these discussions will be finalized by the end of this month."

"OUR STREETS MUST BE RID OF THESE AGGRESSIVE ANIMALS"

Expressing that according to some data, the number of stray dogs has reached 5-6 million, Destici noted the following:

"Our children cannot go to school on their own, women cannot go to the market or shopping, and our elderly have reached a state where they cannot go out on the street. The primary responsibility lies with local governments. Of course, while taking these measures, we must prioritize our humanitarian sensitivities and act in accordance with our culture and faith, but no one should try to remind us of our faith or culture on this matter. They should not defend LGBT and perversions on one hand, and then act as so-called animal lovers on the other. The issue is with stray and aggressive dogs. Just as Europe has solved it, just as the world has solved it, it must be solved. In our cities, districts, and provinces that have sufficient animal shelters, such measures should be taken, but for those that are beyond control, options such as euthanasia or culling must definitely be evaluated, and our streets must be rid of these aggressive animals."
