Mustafa Varank: The boycott will backfire
AKP Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank made statements regarding the CHP's boycott call during a suhoor meeting with young people.
At the program held at the Atatürk Forest Farm, Varank served meatballs in bread and kokoreç to the youth. AKP Şanlıurfa Deputy Abdulkadir Emin Önen also attended the program.
Chatting with citizens and taking photos at the event, Varank expressed his pleasure in being together with the youth.
Stating that he was asked, "Can you have suhoor with kokoreç?", Varank said, "We have our friend here who owns the place.
He has been the owner of this place for years. People from Ankara really come and experience this place for both iftar and suhoor. Hopefully, we will have a very nice suhoor."
Varank spoke as follows regarding the CHP's boycott calls against certain companies:
"I really cannot understand what kind of result a political party expects to achieve by targeting Turkey's domestic and national brands. But our nation is discerning. Our nation evaluates very well what these boycott calls mean and acts accordingly. In the coming days, we will see how this will backfire."
