Naci Görür reveals on live broadcast: Murat Kurum offered me a consultancy role

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made statements on the anniversary of the February 6 Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.

Participating in a live broadcast on FOX TV, Görür announced that the People's Alliance's AKP candidate Murat Kurum had offered him a consultancy role.

Görür stated, “Murat Kurum offered me a consultancy role. For us, the earthquake issue is a matter of national survival. If we do not do what is necessary regarding earthquakes in the Marmara Region, Turkey's economic and political independence will be in jeopardy.”

Görür expressed the following:

Mr. Murat Kurum also joined the campaign we started together, aiming to make our cities in the country earthquake-resistant and to achieve this through collective effort so that our people do not die in earthquakes. They said that if they come to office, they will be involved in all kinds of work that will make the country earthquake-resistant.

Mr. Kurum offered me a consultancy role. This is a matter of life. Above all, it is a matter of national survival for the country. If we do not do what is necessary regarding these earthquakes, especially if the Marmara Region is destroyed by an earthquake and collapses economically, Turkey's economic and political independence will also be under threat. We must prepare our country for earthquakes shoulder to shoulder, arm in arm, and through collective effort.

Murat Kurum had also previously stated the following in a statement:

"I called Naci Görür and said I want to benefit from your knowledge. I said we want to work with you on this issue. Hopefully, when we win, we will demonstrate the will together with such valuable scientists."
