Naci Görür shares post following earthquake in Sivas

AFAD announced that a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Ulaş, Sivas. According to the report, the earthquake took place at 23:30 and occurred at a depth of 8.41 kilometers. 

AFAD HAS LAUNCHED AN INVESTIGATION

The earthquake, which was also felt in some parts of Sivas city center, caused brief panic.

Students staying at the Binali Yıldırım Student Dormitory, located near the Sivas Cumhuriyet University campus, exited the building following the tremor.

It was reported that no negative incidents were encountered in the city center or in the Ulaş district, which was recorded as the epicenter of the earthquake, according to initial assessments.

NACİ GÖRÜR POINTS TO FEBRUARY 6

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür shared his assessment of the earthquake in question on his social media account.

Görür wrote the following: 

"A 4.3 magnitude earthquake just occurred in Kertmekaracaören-Ulaş/Sivas. It is on the Ecemiş Fault Zone. As I have stated before, I believe that the energy transfer from the February 6 earthquakes has an effect on this earthquake."
