Naim Babüroğlu calls on the opposition for early elections

Commenting on how to proceed following the arrest of CHP Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, Babüroğlu issued a call to opposition parties.

Beyond the statements regarding the presidential candidacy between İmamoğlu and Yavaş, Babüroğlu addressed the opposition parties with the following remarks:

Beyond the factors of Mr. Yavaş and Mr. İmamoğlu, they must now all unite on a common ground. A call for early elections must be made. My call to the opposition parties here is this: call for early elections and continue on this path. In the current environment, thinking about personal rights is not very logical.

Babüroğlu continued his speech by stating the following:

I think the AKP, MHP, and DEM Party will enter the election together and reach an agreement. There is the issue of constitutional amendment here, and it is not being brought to the forefront. If the CHP, which emerged as the leading party in the last election, does not initiate the early election process, it will face problems in the future. For the political power, this process has begun.

If the CHP wants to take the initiative and gain the upper hand, it must declare that it has started the election process; I am not saying it must necessarily put forward a candidate...

I believe that the CHP should focus on Mr. İmamoğlu and think about him; this is not a situation that will be solved with marches, the election process must be started as soon as possible.
