Naim Babüroğlu: The election process has effectively begun following the arrest in Esenyurt

Babüroğlu shared his assessments on current issues during the program titled Nokta Atışı, which he attended on Sözcütv.

Evaluating the new 'opening' process initiated by the AKP as a repetition of history, Naim Babüroğlu spoke about the process regarding the arrest of Ahmet Özer.

International Relations and Strategy expert and 12punto columnist Naim Babüroğlu stated the following:

"Israel will not attack Turkey because it has no such goal and no need for it... Why not? If the goal is the 'promised lands' as claimed, we can see that the demographic structure in those provinces is changing and is undergoing a major transformation due to the migration they have received; therefore, if there is no intervention, it will not feel the need to attack a place that is already undergoing change.

Opposition parties must explain to the public in a way they can understand that Israel will not attack...

We write and explain this, but opposition parties need to convey this issue to our people, and while doing so, they must show with documents that trade continues in a way that will touch them.

There is no such conviction among the general public; there is a security concern among the people.

Regarding the event called the 'solution process,' we must ask this: if the presidential election were 10 years away, I don't think there would be such a solution process; there might have been constitutional work. 

At the end of the 2009 opening, there were local elections and then general elections; it was important for the government!

It was tried again as a solution process in 2013; there were local elections and presidential elections in 2014...

Let's come to 2024; there is a situation where the president cannot be a candidate again... What needs to be done? History will repeat itself, a new opening, because votes are needed; the opposition must know that it will use all mechanisms here.

The opposition must voice the Barzani factor; no one knows whether Barzani will be invited to Diyarbakır and held talks with... History is a rearview mirror, and we need to look at it from time to time; we have lost this.

How will we prevent this situation? This is not a new event; no matter how much we explain that it is unlawful, everyone knows this. In strategy, what have we done, what will be done? How will the opposition be proactive, how will it set the agenda?

In the solution and constitutional process, the primary actor is the USA, and there is a used actor, which is the PKK separatist terrorist organization... Even if it were said from Imralı to 'lay down arms' and the PKK laid down its arms, it would be of no use for a solution or for a result.

Here, the terrorists who lay down their arms will go to the region in Syria created under US protection; the US will not allow this place to collapse. It does not want Russia to control that region.

So, the danger will increase even more if we proceed this way, and I cannot understand why the opposition does not warn the public about this.

If Turkey recognizes the existence of the region in Syria in exchange for the PKK separatist terrorist organization laying down its arms, provided the US wants it, this project is a disaster project for Turkey...

ESENYURT AND THE ARREST

Turkey has entered the election process and atmosphere with the arrest made in Esenyurt. The election has effectively begun; communication coordination in the People's Alliance is at its peak; no statement made in the People's Alliance is made without coordination.

It is impossible to think that this was done without knowledge; members of parliament are not speaking on either side... 

If you use your strength, energy, speech, and statement at the right time and place, you get the most efficiency.

The incident in Esenyurt is planned; the target here is IMM Mayor İmamoğlu and the main opposition party, and excuse me, but the People's Alliance was successful in its plans regarding this issue.

The differences in the statements of Özgür Özel and Mansur Yavaş are also noteworthy.

No political party that rejects Atatürk's understanding of nationalism, revolutionism, and secularism can move forward...

When entering the election process, the opposition's primary duty is to determine which moves will be made to prevent this system directed at İmamoğlu; if, after this emerges, the statements made are 'this is too much,' then we are surprised that we are surprised...

This much can happen, so I assess that the target is Mr. İmamoğlu and I think the CHP needs to take strategic steps.
