Şehitkamil Municipality has taken a valuable step to keep Narin's memory alive. It was announced that Narin Güran's name will be given to a newly constructed park.
Şehitkamil Mayor Umut Yılmaz has taken a meaningful step to keep the memory of Narin Güran alive. Mayor Yılmaz announced that the park, which is nearing completion in Kuzeyşehir, will be named “Narin Child”.
The tragic loss of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district and whose body was found in a sack in the Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days later, deeply wounded all of Turkey.
'IT WILL SYMBOLIZE THE INNOCENCE OF ALL CHILDREN'
In his statement regarding the matter, Mayor Yılmaz emphasized that Narin's loss deeply affected everyone and that society should not have to experience such pain again. Yılmaz said, “Keeping Narin Güran's memory alive and creating areas where our children can play safely is our priority. This park will symbolize the innocence of Narin and all children.”
The park, which will bear the name Narin Child, was designed as a project that stands out with its modern playgrounds and green spaces where children can spend time safely.
