Natural gas explosion in Gebze: 7 people injured, 6 vehicles damaged!
Seven people were injured as a result of a natural gas explosion in a house in the Gebze district of Kocaeli. The explosion, which occurred on the fourth floor of a 5-story apartment building in Mevlana Neighborhood, also damaged 3 surrounding buildings. Fire and medical teams dispatched to the scene transported the injured to hospitals. While the building sustained major damage due to the explosion, 6 vehicles were also damaged. Police have taken security measures at the scene.
A natural gas explosion occurred for an unknown reason in an apartment on the fourth floor of a 5-story building on Ayyıldız Street in Mevlana Neighborhood. As a result of the explosion, 7 people, including children, were injured.
Upon notification, numerous fire and medical teams were dispatched to the region.
The injured, who were removed from the building by fire crews, were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance.
Meanwhile, major damage occurred on the floor where the explosion took place. The explosion also damaged 3 surrounding buildings. 6 vehicles were damaged when debris from the building fell onto them.
Police teams established a security perimeter at the scene.
