Nevşin Mengü draws attention to inadequacies in ballot committee training and issues a warning: 'Protect the ballot boxes'
With only days left until citizens head to the polls for the local elections, journalist Nevşin Mengü shared a notable post on social media. Mengü highlighted how carelessly the ballot committee training sessions were conducted.
As millions of citizens prepare to head to the polls for the local elections, final preparations are being completed. Journalist Nevşin Mengü, who shared a post regarding a recently held ballot committee training session, revealed just how haphazardly the training was conducted.
Sharing what a public servant friend who received training to serve in the elections told her, Mengü used the following expressions:
A public servant friend of ours who applied to serve in the elections describes the training they received:
"On Monday, March 25, a training session of about 1 hour was given at the Korkut Ata Cultural Center, but what kind of training? First, the slide projector didn't work, and the official gave a summary as if we already knew everything.
Then the machine started working, the slides were clicked through at jet speed, and there were some documents, bags, etc., on the table on stage, but no one was allowed near the stage.
They said they would take questions via microphone, but we were only given circular number 138, and oh, the YSK also sent a training link.
Now, as a civil servant member, how am I supposed to serve in the election without knowing anything? Furthermore, if the ballot committee chair cannot come to duty in the morning, I will be the ballot committee chair."
Protect your ballot boxes...
