New details emerge regarding Mossad agents

The National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and the Intelligence Branch of the Istanbul Police Department identified 46 individuals conducting "international espionage" activities on behalf of the Israeli Foreign Intelligence Service, Mossad, targeting foreign nationals, primarily Palestinian and Israeli families and activists residing in Turkey. 34 suspects belonging to the spy network were apprehended in an operation conducted on Tuesday, January 2, across 8 provinces centered in Istanbul.

TEAMS CONDUCT INTERROGATIONS

New details have been reached regarding the suspects whose interrogations are ongoing at the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch. As part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, the questioning of the espionage suspects is being carried out by large expert teams at the Counter-Terrorism Branch capable of using the Arabic language with its various dialects.

THE 'EBU FADI' ALLEGATION

In the work carried out by the MIT Presidency and the Intelligence Branch Directorate, it was learned that the suspects, who aimed to carry out tasks such as reconnaissance, surveillance, assault, and kidnapping on behalf of Mossad against foreign nationals residing in Turkey for humanitarian reasons, were managed and directed by a unit within the Israeli foreign intelligence service in Tel Aviv that oversees the Hamas desk. It is alleged that some of the Arab-origin suspects, who were used by intelligence officers working in the Hamas unit created within Mossad and who were understood to have received large, independent sums of money, are individuals close to Mohammed Yusuf Dahlan, known by the alias 'Ebu Fadi' and currently living in exile in Serbia.

It is not yet known how close the individuals under interrogation are to Dahlan, whose name has been mentioned for the administration of Gaza after the war. The exiled Dahlan was a name frequently heard in Turkey after the July 15 coup attempt.

OPERATION NECROPOLIS IN SHADOW WARS

Within the scope of the activities of the Istanbul Counter-Terrorism Branch Directorate, information had been obtained through the work of the MIT Presidency and the Intelligence Branch Directorate that the Israeli secret service, Mossad, aimed to carry out tasks such as surveillance, reconnaissance, assault, and kidnapping against foreign nationals living in Turkey for humanitarian reasons.

It was also revealed that Mossad officials, who contacted the suspects in the sabotage team they recruited via social media, had obtained information on certain individuals.

Upon the assessment that the activities in question could fall under the scope of "international espionage," security forces took action to apprehend 46 suspects, capturing 34 of them in a simultaneous operation conducted on January 2 at 57 addresses identified in 15 districts of Istanbul, as well as in Ankara, Kocaeli, Hatay, Mersin, İzmir, Van, and Diyarbakır.

During searches conducted at the addresses, 143,830 euros, 23,680 dollars, various amounts of cash from different countries, unlicensed pistols, a large number of cartridges, and digital materials were seized.
