New details in the arson attack on a car dealership in Beşiktaş! The target turned out to be a career criminal

Around 04:30, a fire broke out in a luxury car parked at a car dealership located on the ground floor of a 4-story building on Barbaros Boulevard in the Balmumcu neighborhood of Beşiktaş. The flames grew quickly and spread to surrounding vehicles. Numerous fire crews dispatched to the scene brought the fire under control after about an hour of intervention. A total of 15 vehicles sustained serious damage in the fire.

It was determined that the suspects who set the vehicles on fire then went to the villa belonging to the business owner in the Levent neighborhood and opened fire.

FIRST ARSON, THEN ARMED ATTACK

It was determined that two helmeted and black-clad individuals arrived at the business belonging to Selçuk K. and his wife Dilek K. on a motorcycle and started the fire by pouring flammable material over the vehicles. While 14 vehicles were damaged in the fire, it was learned that the suspects then headed to the villa in Levent on the same night and opened fire there.

During the armed attack, 7 empty shell casings were found at the scene, and it was determined that 5 bullets hit the villa. There were no deaths or injuries in the attacks. Both actions by the suspects were captured on security cameras.

SUSPECTS ARE BEING SOUGHT

While police teams have launched an operation to apprehend the attackers, information was obtained that Selçuk K., the target of the incident, has a criminal record of 64 offenses, was wanted for 48 separate files as of October 31, 2025, and was released after being arrested. It was stated that Dilek K. has 37 criminal records, and a significant portion of these records consists of the crime of "resisting a public officer."

On the other hand, it was learned that reports had previously been made regarding the entertainment venues and car rental company operated by Selçuk K. concerning drug use, noise, and serving alcohol to minors. Additionally, it was reported that there are applications regarding the company on allegations of fraud and that a complaint regarding the threatening of an employee has also been recorded.
