New details in Trump attack: Attacker's manifesto emerges

The White House Correspondents' Association dinner, held at a hotel in the US capital of Washington DC, was the scene of an armed attack by 31-year-old Cole Allen.

The American press alleged that Allen sent a message to his family just before the attack, sharing his manifesto. In this message, Allen expressed his reaction to administrative officials, stating, “I am a US citizen. The actions of those who represent me reflect on me. I no longer want to allow a pedophile, a rapist, and a traitor to stain my hands with their crimes.”

It was stated that in the manifesto shared by the attacker, he targeted all administrative officials except for Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel. Allen also declared that he could consider US Secret Service personnel as targets if necessary, but that hotel staff, police, and event attendees were not his targets.

Stating that he found the security measures insufficient, Allen said, “I was expecting security cameras at every corner, an armed officer every 10 meters, and many metal detectors, but I saw none of these. The only thing I felt as soon as I entered the hotel was arrogance. I walked in with multiple weapons, but no one there suspected anything.”

Allen also criticized the security measures with the words, “This level of incompetence is mind-boggling. If I were an Iranian agent instead of a US citizen, I could have even brought a heavy machine gun here, and no one would have noticed.”

THE ATTACKER'S IDENTITY

It was learned that Donald Trump was also present at the event during the incident. Regarding the attacker, Trump said, “The attacker is a sick person. If you read his manifesto, you will understand this. I think his sister or brother was also complaining about this. So he was a really troubled person.”

White House officials reported that the attacker's sister, Avriana Allen, said that Cole Allen often mentioned that he was “planning to do something to find solutions to today's problems.” According to the Washington Police statement, the attacker was carrying a shotgun, a handgun, and various knives during the incident. It was determined as part of the investigation that Allen acted alone.

According to information in the US press, Cole Allen worked as a teacher at a private tutoring center in California and was named “Teacher of the Month” in December 2024. It was reported that in his initial statement to security forces, he said he specifically targeted officials from the Trump era. On a LinkedIn profile opened in his name, Allen describes himself as a “mechanical engineer and computer scientist with a bachelor's degree, as well as a game developer and teacher.”

Following the incident, the attacker was neutralized and taken into custody at the hotel in a short time. The events have raised serious questions about the inadequacy of high-level security approaches in Washington and potential risks.
