New development after phone call: Meeting time set for Kılıçdaroğlu and Özel's aides
Following the recent developments regarding the CHP party congress lawsuit, all eyes are on the camps of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Özgür Özel. After a phone call between the two, the delegations appointed by both sides are expected to meet at 14:00.
As activity within the party has increased following the absolute nullity ruling in the case concerning the CHP congress, former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, requested that the CHP Headquarters be intervened in.
Following this development, it was learned that the Ankara Governor's Office instructed police units to evacuate the building.
Amidst the heightened security measures around the CHP Headquarters following these events, it was stated that CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu held a phone conversation during the rising tension. It was noted that Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to make a new statement shortly.
On the other hand, it was learned that contacts between the parties are continuing. Orhan Sarı and Mahir Polat from the Kılıçdaroğlu camp, and Murat Emir and Suat Özçağdaş from Özgür Özel's delegation, are expected to come together for a meeting today at 14:00.
