New development in İmamoğlu's trial!
The trial in which Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu faces a prison sentence of 3 to 7 years has been adjourned.
The trial of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, in which he faces 3 to 7 years in prison for "rigging a tender" during his tenure as Mayor of Beylikdüzü, continued over allegations that he awarded a tender to a company that did not meet the necessary requirements.
The public prosecutor stated that there was a discrepancy between the expert report from the investigation phase and the expert report obtained during the prosecution phase, and requested that a new expert report be prepared.
TRIAL ADJOURNED
The judge decided to obtain a new report from a 3-person expert panel and adjourned the hearing until October.
The hearing was also attended by Büyükçekmece Mayor Hasan Akgün and CHP Büyükçekmece District Chair Halis Çiçekçi.
