New development in the Narin Güran murder case: Who are the two people present at the scene during the hours the body was hidden?

The investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose body was found in a sack by the Eğertutmaz Stream 19 days after she was reported missing in Diyarbakır, continues. Numerous members of the Güran family are currently in custody. While there are still details regarding the murder that have not yet been clarified, new developments have occurred.

According to Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, it has been determined that during the hours Narin's body was being hidden in the stream bed, not only was the confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar at the scene, but according to cell tower signal records, two other people were also present.

Regarding the sighting of Nevzat Bahtiyar's vehicle in the area where the stream bed is located between 15:40 and 16:30 on the day of the incident, and his phone signaling from a local base station, camera footage from a military base overlooking the region had been examined. It was determined from the footage that Nevzat Bahtiyar's red vehicle was parked in the area near the stream bed for 50 minutes.

NEVZAT BAHTİYAR WAS NOT ALONE AT THE SCENE

Following this finding, the 'Falcon Eye' (Şahin Gözü) HD camera recordings from the military base, which overlook the stream bed and the irrigated fields around the village, were reviewed a second time with enhanced magnification. In the details of the footage, which was watched second-by-second on a high-resolution large screen and frozen for closer inspection, another detail was revealed. It was determined that Nevzat Bahtiyar was not the only one at the scene; two other people were seen in the area of the reeds where the body was hidden.

While it is not yet known whether these individuals are from the Güran family or are relatives of Nevzat, the footage has been transferred in its entirety to an external hard drive.

It was sent to TÜBİTAK in a sealed envelope. Once the footage is analyzed by a 6-person expert committee to be formed there, the identities of the two people who were in close proximity to Nevzat during the hours he was at the stream bed will be determined.
