New development in Narin investigation: Detention period extended
The detention period for 24 suspects has been extended by one more day as part of the ongoing investigation following the discovery of Narin's lifeless body.
In the investigation into 8-year-old Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a stream near her home 19 days after she went missing in Diyarbakır, 24 people had been taken into custody. The detention period for these 24 individuals, including her mother, father, and siblings, has been extended by one more day.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The body of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district, was found this morning along the banks of the Eğertutmaz Stream, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the village, an area that had previously been searched in detail.
Searches along the stream bank had been resumed following a tip-off. During this process, it was revealed that there was also a secret witness in the investigation. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu stated that Narin Güran was found in a sack wearing the same clothes she was last seen in, and that her body had been covered with stones and tree branches.
