New development in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan investigation!

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has seen a significant development in the investigation conducted into the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization.

POLICE TOOK PRECAUTIONS AT THE AIRPORT

According to a report by T24, police from the Ankara Police Department's Organized Crime Bureau, who are conducting the investigation, received intelligence that Serdar Sertçelik—who was alleged to have been involved in the kidnapping of businessman Muhammed Sağ, a case that recently made headlines—would be arriving in Ankara from Cyprus by plane. Following this, police took precautions at Esenboğa Airport at midnight when the flight was scheduled to arrive.

Sertçelik, who arrived from Cyprus on a scheduled flight, was taken into custody in accordance with an arrest warrant issued against him and was taken to the police station.

Police sources indicated that new developments could emerge in the Kaplan investigation following the information Sertçelik is expected to provide.

KAPLAN'S 'KEY MAN'

On the other hand, Sertçelik's name also appeared in the criminal organization investigation conducted against Ayhan Bora Kaplan. In statements recently made public by Antalya-based businessman Muhammed Sağ, he alleged that he was targeted for fraud during the sale of his partnership in Elmacı Market, and that a gun was held to his head by Sertçelik and his partner Koray Özdöl.

Sağ, who claimed that his application to the police in Antalya in 2021 was not accepted, stated that Ayhan Bora Kaplan had intervened and that he had gone abroad for his own safety.
