New development in the operation targeting Can Holding

Five people detained within the scope of the investigation conducted into Can Holding in Istanbul have been sent to the courthouse following their statements at the Istanbul Gendarmerie Command.

Among the 5 suspects apprehended as a result of the operation carried out under the file maintained by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "establishing a criminal organization," "tax evasion," "fraud," and "money laundering" is Kenan Tekdağ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Can Yayın Holding. The suspects, whose procedures at the Gendarmerie were completed, were referred to the Küçükçekmece Courthouse.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

With the operation carried out by the Istanbul Gendarmerie Command teams, trustees had been appointed to some companies affiliated with Can Holding.

The companies seized within the scope of the investigation included the following:

"Habertürk Gazetecilik, Ciner Medya TV Hizmetleri, Show Televizyon Yayıncılık, Boğaziçi Radyo Televizyon Yayıncılığı ve Reklamcılık, Enerji Petrol Ürünleri Pazarlama, Doğa Okulları İşletmeciliği, Bilgi Doğa Eğitim İşletmeciliği, Turktobacco Sigara İç ve Dış Ticaret Pazarlama, HT Spor Televizyon Yayıncılık, and Bosphorus Medya Grubu Radyo ve Televizyon Yayıncılığı Anonim Şirketi."
