The trial of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was subjected to a stone attack during a rally in Erzurum before the presidential elections, has been adjourned.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's trial continued at the 7th Criminal Court of First Instance, where 28 defendants are being tried without arrest and face prison sentences ranging from 2 to 9 years on charges of carrying out a stone attack during his Erzurum rally held during the presidential election process.
According to the report in Sözcü, the complainants who attended the second hearing of the case reiterated their complaints. The hearing was adjourned to February 12 due to the need to address deficiencies in the file and the fact that the expert report was not yet ready.
