New development regarding the taxi driver murderer in Sarıyer
The suspect who stabbed and killed the taxi driver whose vehicle he boarded in Sarıyer has been arrested by the duty magistrate and sent to prison.
In the incident that occurred yesterday on Pamuk Street in the Tarabya neighborhood of Sarıyer, it is alleged that the foreign national suspect Y.B.G. (43) boarded the commercial taxi driven by taxi driver Yaşar Yanıkyürek (58), and following an argument over the fare, the suspect stabbed Yanıkyürek 5 times, threw him out of the vehicle, and fled with the car.
Immediately after the incident, the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody 300 meters from the scene.
ARRESTED ON TWO SEPARATE CHARGES
Following the completion of his procedures at the police station, Y.B.G. was referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
The individual, who gave his statement to the prosecutor's office, was subsequently arrested by the duty magistrate on charges of 'intentional killing with monstrous feeling' and 'robbery' and sent to prison.
