As part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a detention warrant had been issued for Zuhal Böcek, the daughter-in-law of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek.
Having completed her procedures at the police station, Zuhal Böcek was brought before the criminal judgeship of peace today with a request for her arrest.

Within the scope of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations that Muhittin Böcek, who was removed from his post as Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, had offered a "bribe" regarding his candidacy, detention warrants were issued for 3 suspects, including his daughter-in-law Zuhal Böcek.
In this context, Zuhal Böcek and 2 other suspects were taken into custody by police teams on April 30.
