A new era begins at the İzmir Chamber of Medicine!

The İzmir Chamber of Medicine’s 2024-2026 Ordinary General Assembly has concluded, and the new administration has been determined. The general assembly, which began at the Ahmet Piriştina City Archive and Museum, was completed with the voting held at the ballot boxes set up at Namık Kemal Anatolian High School. İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay was also among those who cast their votes.

According to the report in BirGün, as a result of the vote count, 4 physicians from the İzmir Physician Solidarity group and 3 physicians from the İzmir Contemporary Physicians Group were elected to the administration. Based on these results, it is expected that the president of the Chamber of Medicine will be one of the members from the İzmir Physician Solidarity group.

While physicians from both groups are represented on the Board of Honor and the Supervisory Board, the distribution of the TTB (Turkish Medical Association) Central Council delegates includes 12 physicians from the İzmir Physician Solidarity group and 3 from the Contemporary Physicians Group.
