New letter from Ümit Özdağ! 'As if the lawsuits filed weren't enough...'

Victory Party leader Ümit Özdağ, who has been held in Silivri Prison for 55 days, has sent a new letter from prison.

According to a report by İpek Özbey from Sözcü, Özdağ reminded that no indictment has been prepared yet regarding the accusations against him, and wrote in his letter: "There is no indictment against me yet. While those who have been waging a political-psychological war against the Turkish nation and the Turkish state for decades to destroy the Republic of Turkey and to divide our country by establishing a Kurdistan in a part of our land are being treated with great favor, Ümit Özdağ, who has fought for the unity of the Republic of Turkey and the well-being of the Turkish nation alongside soldiers, police, gendarmes, and intelligence officers for decades, is being held in a solitary cell in Silivri on the grounds that he is an 'obstacle to peace'."

Emphasizing that justice has collapsed, Özdağ's claim of a setup drew attention. The Victory Party leader said, "As if the lawsuits filed against me weren't enough, I am now hearing about attempts to set me up and police interrogations." 

Özdağ, who had said "I will sabotage this process" when the new reconciliation process, of which MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli is the architect, began, had also stated in an interview with Sözcü that the terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan had written off the PKK in order to protect and legitimize its extension in Syria, and that the trap of the first reconciliation process was being fallen into again.
