New operation at Antalya Metropolitan Municipality! Many detained
As part of an investigation into the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, detention warrants were issued for 20 people, 17 of whom have been apprehended.
The operation carried out against the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality in the morning hours continues within the framework of bribery and corruption allegations. Among those detained are the former daughter-in-law of the mayor, Zeynep Kerimoğlu, businessman Emin Hesapçıoğlu, and several municipal bureaucrats.
Within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Mayor Muhittin Böcek and his former daughter-in-law Z.K. had previously been detained, and Böcek was arrested. His son, Gökhan Böcek, was arrested upon his return to Turkey after it was determined he was abroad.
Additionally, Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan was dismissed and arrested on charges of mediating bribery and fraud. Arslan's brother, who served in the Presidential Protection detail, was also detained.
Finally, Muhittin Böcek, who was taken to the hospital due to health problems, was sent back to prison following his treatment.
