New Poll: If there were an election this Sunday, where would the AKP place?

MetroPOLL Research Founder and Manager Özer Sancar shared the survey conducted by the research company, titled 'Party voter support and its change over the last 2 years according to April 2024 research findings,' on his social media account.

The research was conducted across Turkey between April 17-24, 2024, with a total of 2,235 people using stratified sampling and weighting methods based on 26 regions according to the NUTS 2 system in 28 provinces.

"WHICH PARTY WOULD YOU VOTE FOR?"

In the survey where voters were asked, "If there were a parliamentary election this Sunday, which political party would you vote for?", the CHP was the preferred first party with 23.8 percent, while the AKP was the second preferred party with 20.6 percent.

When undecided voters were distributed, the vote share of the CHP, which received 25.41 percent in the May 14, 2023 General Elections, was determined to be 35.9 percent, while the vote share of the AKP, which received 35.32 percent, was determined to be 31.1 percent.

The CHP had become the first party in the March 31, 2024 Local Elections by reaching a vote share of 37.7 percent.

DEM IS AHEAD OF MHP!

According to the rates after the distribution of undecided voters in the survey, the DEM Party was the 3rd party with 8.4 percent, the MHP was the 4th with 7.9 percent, the YRP was the 5th with 6.1 percent, and the Zafer Party was the 6th party with 4.2 percent.

According to the survey, the vote share of the IYI Party, which received 9.9 percent in the May 14, 2023 General Elections, was recorded as 2.4 percent, placing it as the 7th party. The TİP became the 8th party with 0.7 percent of the vote.
