New regulation for the Notification Law from the AKP

AKP deputies have worked on a legislative proposal that includes comprehensive changes to the Notification Law. With the proposal expected to be submitted to the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) in the new year, the usage area of the electronic notification system will be expanded.

MANDATORY ELECTRONIC NOTIFICATION EXPANDS

According to the prepared proposal, it will be mandatory for authorities authorized to issue notifications to send electronic notifications to public employees, foreigners holding blue cards, and conciliators.

NEW REQUIREMENT IN LAWSUITS AND ENFORCEMENT PROCESSES

Parties will be required to provide their electronic notification addresses when filing lawsuits and initiating enforcement proceedings. Additionally, new regulations will be implemented to expedite notification procedures for international service.

NOTIFICATIONS WILL NO LONGER BE RETURNED

According to another provision in the proposal, notifications that cannot be delivered to the declared address or where the recipient cannot be found at the address will not be returned. In such cases, notifications will be directed to the addresses registered in the Central Civil Registration System (MERNİS).
