New snowfall warning for Istanbul from AKOM

With the arrival of a cold air wave from Siberia, snowfall has been effective in the megacity of Istanbul this week, particularly in higher areas.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) has issued another snowfall warning for Istanbul residents following the weekend, which is expected to be rainy.

The statement indicated that snowfall will be effective again in Istanbul on Monday.

TEMPERATURES DROPPING FURTHER

According to the latest weather report from the General Directorate of Meteorology, air temperatures across the country are expected to remain below seasonal norms.

According to the forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country overall is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with intermittent precipitation expected in the east of the Marmara region, the Western Black Sea, the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea, as well as the surroundings of Artvin, Kars, Ardahan, Iğdır, and Balıkesir, and the eastern parts of Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Çanakkale, and Hakkari. The precipitation is expected to be in the form of rain on the coasts of the Central and Eastern Black Sea and in the surroundings of Istanbul, and in the form of sleet and snow in other areas receiving precipitation.
