New Year's rush at Sarp Border Gate: Return queues formed

There is a rush at Turkey's Sarp Border Gate due to the New Year's holiday.

Citizens wishing to cross the border are choosing the Sarp Border Gate to go to Georgia. Throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 67 thousand 350 pedestrians and 6 thousand 980 vehicles crossed from the Sarp Border Gate into Georgia.

The density created by those wanting to spend the New Year's holiday in Georgia led to strict inspections by Traffic Police and Gendarmerie teams in the border region. While some passengers waited for a long time to cross the border, others decided to turn back, unable to face the congestion.
