Newborn baby found in mosque courtyard
A newborn baby girl was found in the courtyard of a mosque in the Silopi district of Şırnak.
Citizens who noticed a baby inside a bag in the courtyard of the Ahmed-i Hani Mosque in the Yenişehir neighborhood reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Upon examination, medical teams determined that the newborn baby girl was affected by the cold.
The baby was taken to the intensive care unit at Silopi State Hospital.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
