Newborn baby's body found in a mosque courtyard in Mardin
The body of a newborn baby has been found in the Artuklu district of Mardin.
In Mardin's Artuklu rural Yaylı neighborhood, citizens going for morning prayers noticed a baby in the mosque courtyard.
AUTOPSY TO BE PERFORMED ON THE BODY
Upon the report of citizens who saw that the baby was motionless, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Health officials who arrived at the scene determined that the baby had lost its life.
The body of the male baby was taken to the morgue of Mardin Training and Research Hospital for an autopsy following the crime scene investigation.
An investigation has been launched to apprehend the person or persons who abandoned the newborn baby.
