Nighttime brawl at Bayrampaşa vegetable market: Police teams intervened
A dispute between two groups at the Vegetable and Fruit Market in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, escalated into a brawl at midnight. 12 police officers were slightly injured in the incident, and 7 people were taken into custody.
The Vegetable and Fruit Market in Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, became the scene of chaos late last night after a dispute between two groups escalated. The disagreement, the cause of which has not yet been determined, spiraled out of control as the parties engaged in a knife fight.
Upon notification of the situation, numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene. Officers intervened with pepper spray to separate the attackers. However, 12 police officers sustained minor injuries in various parts of their bodies during the scuffle.
7 people identified as being involved in the fight were taken into custody. It was learned that one of the suspects is being processed for the charge of wounding with a knife, while the other six are being processed for resisting the police.
While the suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station were completed, the footage of the midnight brawl was recorded by citizens present at the scene using their mobile phones.
