Not Faruk Koca's first assault: He previously slapped a police officer

The match between MKE Ankaragücü and Çaykur Rizespor in the 15th week of the Trendyol Super League ended in a 1-1 draw. After the match, Ankaragücü President Faruk Koca came onto the pitch and assaulted referee Halil Umut Meler.

NOT KOCA'S FIRST ASSAULT

It was alleged that Faruk Koca, who served as an AK Party Ankara MP in the past, and Mustafa Cumhur, who served as a Trabzon MP, argued with officials at the Cilvegözü Border Gate in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay upon their return from Hajj.

"THE MP SLAPPED US"

It was stated that the police officer and customs enforcement officers on duty at the Cilvegözü Border Gate, whose names were not disclosed, filed a report claiming they had been slapped and requested an investigation into the security camera footage of the incident.

KOCA AND CUMHUR HAD CLAIMED 'WE ARE THE VICTIMS'

In his statement, Trabzon MP Cumhur stated that they and other citizens were treated poorly at the border gate and were made to wait unnecessarily, saying, "When we saw that the police and customs officers were acting arbitrarily, we felt the need to warn them. A small argument took place. However, we did not slap anyone. We are the ones who are actually the victims."
