Nullity case within CHP reaches the Court of Cassation's 3rd Civil Chamber: Process could take at least 1 year
All eyes are on the Court of Cassation regarding the nullity debates surrounding the CHP convention. It has been learned that the file will be handled by the 3rd Civil Chamber, and it is estimated that the judicial recess and the appeals process could extend the case over a long timeline.
The appeal file regarding the "absolute nullity" decision concerning the CHP convention has been processed at the Court of Cassation. The review of the application, which was assigned a file number after approximately 59 days, will be conducted by the 3rd Civil Chamber of the Court of Cassation.
According to journalist Muratcan Altuntoprak, it is stated that the file is not expected to be handled before September 1 due to the judicial recess.
On the other hand, it is claimed that the possibility of the file being evaluated by the duty civil chamber has been eliminated due to the appeal made to the Court of Cassation following Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's tenure and the withdrawal of the lawyers who filed the appeal from the case.
It is estimated that the appeals process could take a long time.
Legal experts assess that even if everything proceeds in the direction Özgür Özel desires and the nullity decision is reversed, the process will still take at least one year.
