Number of regular migrants in Turkey announced: Approaching 5 million
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya shared the latest figures regarding irregular migrants in Turkey.
According to official figures announced by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, the number of foreign migrants in Turkey is approaching 5 million. More than 3 million 700 thousand of the total number of migrants consist of Syrian migrants.
According to the data shared by Yerlikaya;
- The total number of regular migrants is 4 million 744 thousand 622.
- 3 million 374 thousand 53 are Syrian.
- 1 million 150 thousand 386 have residence permits.
- 112 thousand 404 irregular migrants were apprehended in three months. 80 thousand 496 people were prevented from entering the border.
