CHP Deputy Chairman Ensar Aytekin announced in a statement yesterday that the congress process had been initiated and that signatures were being collected from delegates.
DELEGATES HAVE BEGUN SIGNING
As of today, delegates have begun providing signatures for the extraordinary congress, where a vote for the party chairmanship will also be held.
It is stated that the number of collected signatures has exceeded 600, and it is expected that this figure will reach 1,000 by tomorrow evening.
PETITIONS TO BE SENT TO HEADQUARTERS
According to the party bylaws, more than half of the current delegates must provide signatures for an extraordinary congress to be convened.
It has been learned that after the petitions containing the request for the congress are prepared, the signatures will be delivered collectively to the CHP Headquarters.
